How do I create a backup of my data?
Backup files from Progressions are super handy! Aside from the obvious benefit in ensuring your data is safe, it also allows you to share your entire collection of charts with others, just by sending them a file.
- In Progressions, open the "Settings" page. This can be done by navigating to the Sets page and pressing the little cog icon in the lower right corner.
- In the section called "Progressions Data", tap "Database Backups".
- At the bottom of the screen, find and tap the button labelled "Backup Now".
- A notice should pop up to let you know that the export was successful. Tap "OK" to dismiss this message.
You can view details about the backup by pressing the information icon for the desired backup on the right side of the screen. This screen will also allow you to share the file using the action icon in the top right corner.
Note: If the file doesn't appear after creating a backup, you can try exiting and immediately re-opening the Backups screen. This will force the list of files to be refreshed.
