Progressions

The iOS app for managing your musical
charts, right on your iPhone or iPad.

How does transposing work?

On the display page for your chart, tap the button displaying the chart's key. You will be presented with a list of keys. Select the key that you wish to save the chart in. Your chart will be automatically transposed.

Note: Transposing a chart will cause the chart to be in the selected key in all sets. You cannot currently have the same chart displayed in two separate keys.

There are, of course, occasions when you don't want transposition, even if something looks and smells like a chord. As of version 2.0.4, you can now "escape" words that the app thinks are chords (like A, Am, or D'une, for example) by prefixing the word with a forward-slash, like so: \Am. The word will no longer be highlighted, and it will also be skipped over by the transposer. The slash is not displayed when viewing the chart, only when editing.
